well, i got my tires this afternoon, ran them down to the shop, mounted them, balanced them.. went back home, put them back on, along with some fresh brake pads, a coupla plugs, cleaned and lubed the chain and took my new bike out for the first time above 40mph... (the old tires were so shot i didn't dare accelerate, corner or brake... so i was kinda put-putting)
Wow.... what a difference.... cornering is a dream, the bike just goes where i point it, no problem... I REALLY like this bike now... I wasn't sure how I'd feel... (this is the smallest bike i've ever owned) but I truly understand why this bike is so well loved now.... can't wait to ride it to work tomorrow (40 mile cruise)
Nice...make sure to go easy on the new brake pads for the first 60 mi or so...I'll be swapping in new pads and a ss brake line on saturday...i started this last week, but discovered that my brake caliper needed some rebuilding.
Nice feeling, those first rides, aren't they!
