Title: Group Buys: Anyone interested
Post by: newbieone on May 27, 2004, 10:56:49 PM
Hello all,

Some of you may know already, but I am working for a dealer this summer. Anyways, I got to thinking today, why not get some groupbuys going. I was considering group buys for the following:

1. Vance & Hines Full Exhaust

Thats the only thing I guess I could come up with. If you can think of anything else let me know.  I need to get an actually number to work with though to call the distributor about. So post up if you  are interested.

Thanks,
Adam

Could you please explain the benefits of upgrading the exhaust?

Thank you.

Shim set! Like the whole box that the service department has. And, how much?

gixxer rear shock or something might do well. lotta people upgrade, and a brand new shock at wholesale might get some attention.

Or better yet, perhaps a package deal on a Fox or other aftermarket shock for a GSXR, valved for the GS500E?

Probably won't fly because most GS owners are cheap bastards.  :P

Work up what the group buy purchase price is and you will see what kind of interest you have.

I'd be interested in a group buy for a shock, assuming that 'wholesale' is significantly lower than 'retail' or 'parts counter' price.  BikeBandit wants something like 528.46 for a new Kat600 shock.  Umm. No.

Theoretically interested in the exhaust as well.

I guess interest will depend on price.

Fairing bits could be very interesting as well.

Bike Bandit actually wants $467.87 for a Kat600 shock.  I'd never pay it.  Thing about Ebay shocks is that I have no real idea what condition they're in.  I don't like the idea of paying for a blown shock.

Speaking of shocks...what about Progressive front shocks :dunno: ? Thats something people are often looking into.

As far as buying a new factory Katana shock for 400+...that is absurd, even if Newbieone could get us a deal that would only knock it down $50 at the most and thats still insane.

Thanks for the heads up Newbie let us know what works out
