Title: GS500R Firebolt :-)
Post by: ltsiopou on June 07, 2004, 12:17:20 AM
Hi guys!

I just wanted to show you the result of my GS Firebolt project. First I found the fairing on ebay: [url]http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=35560&item=2468763244

then one evening for sanding, one evening for primering, one evening for painting and one evening for clear coating resulted in this: http://www.abo.fi/~ltsiopou/GS_Buell_face2.jpg  ,  http://www.abo.fi/~ltsiopou/GS_Buell_yard.jpg

H3 headlights (powerfull) and ZeroGravity double bouble screen are new (and now it's a pleasure to drive at high speeds). The brackets costed totally 8 euros (supermarket)... After a trip of 150 km everything stayed in place :) ...  and soon I will try some different mirrors...

Other mods: WP progressive front fork springs - new Wilbers/Technoflex rear shock, Yoshimura RS3 slip on (meant for YZF600R) - K&N filter (in the box) - did it myself jetting (thanks to this forum), Suzuki gel seat, Kappa rack and Renthal handlebars.

:o  Looks great!! That mat-black color looks so cool, especially with that smoked screen. The gray exhaust looks very good too. Different mirrors would be a good idea..... That engine color, is that standard? It looks a bit less shiny and a bit more gray, like the exhaust. Did you do anything with it? Very nice bike! Congrats!  :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:

It's just that I haven't washed the bike for some months now... only I have waxed the tank... Thank you for the nice comments!
