has anyone done any extreme motor work/ swaps?  and how diffucut were they?

what do you consider extreme?
cutting the two outer combustion chambers off of a gsxr 750 head and fabbing a valve cover...cut cams....and a bunch of other stuff

ask...bob,   i think he is the crazy one who did it

I was thinking about a gs750 motor in a gs frame.... maybe even a 1100 if it whould fit.   Bob any suggestions

never happen. Those old gs motors are huge. If you want to slap a different motor in your gs, put a cr500 or kx500 dirt bike motor in it. 55hp out of a 45lb motor, as opposed to the 150lb lump thats in it now. Of course the dirt bike motor would only be good for a track bike. The 650 tempter motor idea that was floating around sounded like it might be a good fit. After I blow my race bike motor, I plan on doing the 500 2stroke idea with my bike. :thumb:

perhaps shoehorning 650 twin into the spars would be interesting enough.  then toss in a set of web cams for it and woohoo.
