I'm hearing all these high prices(1000+>)
I only pay liability 300/yr. Whats the deal with these companies?
They are such a rip off too.
1000+ for a GS? or a GSXR? It depends a lot on age, driving record, etc. I'm on my parents plan and its only $120 a year. I think if it wasn't for my parents, mine would prolly be double that (under 25 and male).
about $350/yr full coverage.
i pay $139 a year for liability....minimum
$130/year liability
18 year old male with a perfect driving record in suburbia minnesota = $150 year
18 year old male with a perfect driving record in suburbia minnesota = $150 year
20 yearold male with a perfect record......$1050/year for liability :x
thank you ontario, canada :?
25 year old with Liability $189/year Progressive Insurance, in Maryland.
1300/yr with Foremost for comprehensive coverage in dc. 100/300 limits, $500 deductible.
All state says they'll insure me for $360/yr in october when I turn 25 and my last accident (in a cage) goes off my record. Yay!
And for the record - all these insurance companies who won't write motorcycle policies by themselves (i.e. you need to also have a car) bite. When everything was said and done I could only get two companies to give me a quote for motorcycle insurance in DC. Grrrr.
Scott,
Why do you have such high limits? 100/300 is too high. What are you going to damage with your bike? I have 300/500 on my car but for my bike I have like 20/50 because I don't think I can really hurt anyone with it. I know if I have an accident it won't be my fault, I'm too careful with my own life. Remember, car insurance covers the OTHER guy, not you! Now my uninsured motorist is up there 100/300 or something like that to cover ME. Also, you people with older bikes shouldn't carry full coverage, you'll never get much back on a 1993 or whatever bike. It's not worth much more than the deductable. I have a 2002 and it's only worth $2500.
My insurance is $85 a year from Progressive for just liability with 100/300 limits. The funny thing is that the amount didn't go up when I bumped it up to 100/300 nor did it go up when I told them that I hadn't taken the MSF yet.
This is for a 28yr old male on a 98 GS500.
I am pretty happy with that rate.
