should i get the one from 25-250 lb/in. torque range or 25-250 lb/ft. torque range??
which is more practical for general use on the GS?

Let's see ... 25 to 250 in-lbs would be the same as 2.1 to 21 ft-lbs (or 2.85 to 28.5 Nm). That doesn't go high enough for bigger items like the front brake caliper bolts or the axles, but it should work for most of the smaller stuff.
On the other hand, the larger wrench would handle 34 to 340 Nm. Whoa! This one would ONLY be useful for the "bigger items".
I think this was one of the main reasons I didn't go with one of the higher-tech "set and click" wrenches. You kinda need both wrenches to cover everything. (Oh, and did you notice that gap between the 2? Neither wrench works between 21 and 25 ft-lbs. Hmmmm.)

Granted, the accuracy down below 20Nm or so leaves something to be desired. But (dare I confess this?) I almost NEVER use the wrench for the "small" stuff - only things like, um... brake caliper mounting bolts and axle nuts. :mrgreen:
TIP: My torque wrench has a 1/2" drive on it. I bought a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter for use with the medium-sized sockets in my set.
