Title: Progressive fork springs
Post by: dnikop on June 14, 2004, 04:43:09 AM
Hi evereyone,
Is there an internet dealer in the US that sells progressive fork springs for my GS500F and that ships internationally? I live in Sweden and the cheapest price i got for those springs is like 130$  :?  As I understand it these are much cheaper in the US. But I haven't been able to find a dealer on the net that ships outside the US. Do any of you guys have a tip on where I can find these? US or rest of Europe?

regards
Dion

Yup we get the springs for ~$65.  hmm maybe you could order them and have 'em shipped to somebody here on the board who could then ship them to you?

Where do you live?  I'm gonna be in Ornskoldsvik at the end of the month.  If you live there I could hand deliver them!  :)

Chaparral's website is not very good. You'll have to call them. They do list their phone numbers on theie web site.

Try the old thread Uh...prog springs model # (http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7366).

I found it by searching for "progressive chaparral" with the "Search for all terms" option selected.

Gia!

One other option is to order from this german site.
www.bikers-warehouse.de    I just bought a new Wilbers/Technoflex rear shock from them and their service was great (and the shock is perfect!) ! One other finn bought the Wilbers progressive front springs and he is very happy. Just check the products for the GS500 on the site and then send email to arrange payment (if you are still interested in).

I have the WP front springs (great!) which one greek friend sent them from Greece...

I hope it helps!

I asked the mechanic about this when i picked up my GS500F last week.  He said no,  they are still the same fork springs inside from 00-02.  I bought progressive fork springs from chaparral for 56$ shipped.  I believe part number is 337-1128.  enjoy!
