Hey all. I got my blue 2004 GS500F yesterday. I've already put 100 miles on it and ridden it on wet roads. I love it so far! Nothing to complain about! It's a nice little community you guys got goin' on here.
That's about it, nice to meet ya'll!

Thanks guys!
Just got in from a ride. The world of motorcycling is an awesome, addictive thing.
Anybody else ride tonight?
Welcome to the site Steve. I myself just broke 100 miles on my Blue(the best color :thumb: ) GS500F. All we can do is keep riding and enjoy ourselves. Always be on the look out for those stupid car drivers who don't care about us riders....wear your gear and have a blast out there!

Word. Same to you! Have fun.
Welcome!
I've had my gs500f for about three weeks now. Two weeks riding though. I've never owned a bike and this bike makes me feel like i've been riding for years. Its kinda dangerous since it makes you over-confident so don't fall on that state of mind. Riding a bike is dangerous, the bike itself isn't but its the people around that can make it that way. The first and second gear is a little slow on power...but once u past those gears the bike pretty much is a rocket so be careful.
I've already changed a lot of things on the bike although mostly superficial. The most major change i did was replace front fork springs. go to chapparal.com and buy progressive springs, the handling of the bike is considerably better.
I hope you enjoy your new bike, i'll post pics soon once all the mods i want are done. I'm waiting for a clear tail light and and some napoleon mirrors. be safe!!
