Good to hear - It's great isn't it?  At my first ride I was thinking "who the hell is that guy waving at ?" - it was me!  Didn't know about the "club" before - good stuff!  I've been out since 7:30 this morning and just got back home around 3:00.  Have fun!

Consider yourself doubly blest.  Your first wave and a wave from a Harley rider!  :o  Some folks go their whole lives without a Harley rider waving to them.  :nana:

Wait until you wave at a Harley and the ass doesn't wave back- then you'll really be riding...

First time I was out riding, my friend told me to try and wave or nod whenever it doesn't keep you from paying attention to your controls.  Pretty much everyone out on the road was waving cause they knew I was a new rider

I think waving separates those who are on bikes for the love of riding from those who just like the image.  But, can't always judge by first impressions... if you're working that clutch or trying to set up for the next intersection/turn, you might not remember to wave until it's too late to be noticed.  Can't be helped  :dunno:  need to say safe!

I've been doing a lot of street riding lately after having done very little for the last several years.  If I remember right, back in the old days we all used to wave at each other, regardless of what anyone was riding.  I dunno, maybe my memory is fuzzy...  Lessee, what was I talking about?

Oh, yeah.  My experience now is that almost no one waves unless I wave first, & then about 2/3 will wave back.  The wavers & non-wavers seem to be split about evenly between Harleys & non-Harleys.  One issue people may have with trying to decide if they want to wave to me or not may be with the fact that I'm usually riding a Buell these days & they can't figure out whether they're supposed to wave to me because I'm on a sportbike or they're not supposed to wave 'cuz I'm on an American bike or vice-versa...  If they gotta go through that thought process, then I hope it at least gives them a brain cramp...

I always try to wave if I can do it safely & if I don't get a wave back, it's more an indication of their problem then mine.

Wave on!!
