Title: She fell over!@
Post by: Muldoon on June 20, 2004, 05:49:03 PM
Well I blooded my baby on the ashphalt after I stupidly parked her poorly. She just fell onto her right side with no major damage, bent bar end etc. Now I can replace the bar end, but for some reason, the fuel tank is now pointing to the right by about 5 degrees, setting up a really annoying vibration/sound at 5k rpm. Is the tank hard to realign or have I bent something terminally? Was having such a lovely day before then! But it gives her character, just like the wrinkle on me mums face. :thumb:

Sorry to hear about it. I am sure you can re-align the tank. You may have just bent one of the mounting tabs on the bottom near the seat.

Thanks for that. Now I think about it I remember picking her up with the handlebar AND seat. Doh! :thumb:

That sure was bad luck, I know when I got off my bike I could see you and Geoff but not your bike and when I saw you bending over behind the BMW I thought OH NO but by then it was to late.
It does sound like the mount is bent have a look see how you go if you need a hand give me a call otherwise it was a great ride. Geoff says G'day as well  :thumb:
