I'd like to purchase some saddle bags for my 1998 GS500E anyone have any recommendations?

check craigslist for bmw hardbags, some of them are small enough to not look out of place on a gs500. hardbags are PRICEY, but i've come across a few pair for <$100 well used.

if you find a set that has keyed locks, working hinges and aren't full of holes for $100, BUY THEM.

decent hard bags start around $600 and just keep going. you could likely weld up aluminum crash bags like those uber cool bmw trekkers have for $200 or less. allot of work , but tough as hell. :)

how do u attach hardbags to the motorcycle?
