It is represented graphically here http://mypolice.qld.gov.au/data/crime-graphs/

What I find odd is how, if you checkbox Rape & Attempted Rape and dangerous Operation of a Vehicle (same column but at the bottom) they overall trend up and down together at roughly the same numbers. Strange.

You would think with my degree in Criminology I would have an explanation for this... yet I struggle to find the correlation  :icon_confused: I could suggest that offenders do not commit just one type of offense and often link their "sprees" in small bursts then settle down because of the "heat". Another possibility is that (statistically speaking) offense rates generally rise and fall across the board for all types of offenses at different times of year. IE Holiday Months

I know theses are broad answers but considering my 1 minute "glimps" of the table, im sure they will suffice.

Nope. Doesn't gel. If all offenses followed the same trend then yes. But these two follow the same trend and roughly the same numbers. toss in other crimes by clicking the checkbox and you'll see their trends overlapped as well. Different.

Unfortunately, the stats don't tell you general location of said crimes nor ethnic dispersion. In the case of rape is it Reported Rape or convictions? And so on. Interesting nonetheless.
