I would sell mine if someone made me a ridiculous offer I couldn't refuse.

Someone making you an offer on a Bavarian generator with wheels ... Would be ridiculous eh!  :flipoff:

BMW has their Rotax engines is manufactured in China.  :whisper:

:icon_eek: ... A Chinese generator with Bavarian wheels then?! ... Good grief!  ;)

I know some bits are made in India.

So we have a Chinese / Indian made tractor stamped with a Bavarian label?

Almost as good as British Triumphs made in Thailand where workers are paid a bowl of rice a day mixed with stir fried gravel and have to get up before they sleep to clean road wit tongue before going to work. Seems our humble GS is the only true European built bike left  :thumb:

I'm sensing alot of jealousy here toward me. And resorting to nit picking? Tsk tak tsk tsk tsk. And if I could be bothered in sure we'd find a few bits made in china on the gs. Now what's that saying about pots and kettles? Glass houses and stones? He who be without sin?

And jester that sucks about the forced sale.

Correction your gs's WERE a European assembled bike after it was assembled in Japan, then South America.

not all about you Slips!! .. its our general antipathy towards that nobby marque you riding! ... granted you may be a bit of an ass ... but thats no reason to go and prove it by actually buying a bloody BMW!! ..  ;) :flipoff:

you did save yourself a little recently with that review of the Brutale 800 .. which IS a bike that while still 'wanky' .. has old school cool connotations...

'he who be without sin'?!?!?!?!...... you bought a Bimmer!! ... you already going staight to the firepit!!  :D ;) :flipoff:

My GS is all Japan... well, maybe some of the bits I put on during the rebuild aren't but the original stuff definitely is  :thumb:

And when I get my Kat, it will also be all Japan  :thumb:

Rear tyre holding up well after 10000 no sign of flat spotting in the middle yet. I'm putting that down to fastidious attention to my tyre pressures. Aaaaaand new shields for my arai. I gots myself a chrome one now for the sunny days.
