Valve assembly hose when installing a lunchbox K&N

So I have the bike apart (07 GS500F) and am in the process of re-jetting for a Yoshi+Lunchbox K&N. I understand that I need a small air filter for the rubber tube vent hose from the valve cover but I also have a large tube that runs from the  "Valve Assembly, 2nd Air Reed" component to the base of the original airbox. What do I do with that? Remove it completely? Put another filter on the end? Leave it open?

Thanks.

That hose is for the PAIR system and is only for emissions.

Couple of guys on here have removed their PAIR completely as its just for emissions anyway.

I put another breather filter on it because i had one lying around anyway. (and i couldn't get hold of the plates to block of the PAIR lines to the engine)

Well unless it would make it faster....

Slightly OT but you can use GSX-R 1300 Hayabusa PAIR block off plates if you want to remove the system. Same size as the GS500. You only need two though.

Remove the pair its easy

1) unbolt it
2) unscrew from engine and put the blovk off plates on
3) remove from vaccum line
4) cap the vaccum hose with a rubber hose cap or whatever its called
5) optional....i zip tied the hose cap to the vaccum line basically using the zip tie as a clamp just because im paranoid and didnt want  a leek
