I would like to replace my bent handlebar (I didn't do it   ) with a BikeMaster bar from Bike Bandit.  However, I don't know the specs of the GS bar - Rise, Pull back, Width?

Does anyone know?

Thanks for the info... something I wanted to know as well!  :thumb:
I just measured the distance between handlebar clamps... it's a little over 4 inches so you probably need a 120mm (5 inch) or wider center section to fit properly.  I'm not sure if Superbike bars will fit, but that's what I would want

hey ah... 120 millimeters = 4.72440945 inches
The stock width is 4.75'' for the clamps.

Bikemaster bars have everything in inches except for the length of the center section.  Was just estimating :)  Ehh... so why the English measurement for the clamps?
I'm too lazy to look at the bike right now... is the meaurement 120mm or 4.75"?  Cause 120mm is closer to 4-3/4 than 4-5/8

You know what?  I bet this doesn't actually matter!  Time to stop obsessing  :P

The Flanders handlebars site has all the stock dimensions of all the motorcycles with tube type handlebars, as well as a pretty good selection of aftermarket bars. But another option is the stock handlebars for the Buell Thunderbolt, which is less expensive than all the Flanders bars.

Sorry didn't mean to upset  yous,  the last time  i measured the clamp width on my 98 was 4.75" . Alot of bars won't work in that clamp.

The bars have to have 5 inches of flat area...  Under the clamps there is a wider section in the triple where it needs to be almost straight to fit.
Cool.

Okay, here's another question- how did the handlebar measurements change for the GS500F's?  (I heard they lowered the bars a bit, am wondering how much).     O0 ???

DragonLover tried the BikeMaster Daytona for a few months.  We found it to be too high and wide.  Almost bordered on weird feedback.  Switched to the BikeMaster G.P. Touring.  Fits great and much better feedback and response.  Her GS is a '98.
