2009 Suzuki GS500F 3rd fuel tank hose?
« on: May 18, 2019, 12:04:31 AM »
Ive recently taken apart my carburetor in hopes I could put it back together and itd fix the idling. Now that ive got that cleaned up and a new main jet, I cant find a hose that connects to the gas tank (k9 if that matters). Im fairly certain the two hoses I have are the ones leading to the petcock, but im not sure where the 3rd one goes. My best guess is that it leads to the charcoal box (which im also not sure where is). Any feedback or pictures would be greatly appreciated.

The third hose is a vent hose to let the water out of your gas tank or breathe, I forget, maybe both. But it just goes over the airbox and between your battery and the airbox, on the right side, dangling down a bit next to your shock. Youll see a little hook on top of where the air filter screws into the airbox on the right side, you should tuck the hose into the plastic hook.

The charcoal canister tube hooks into your carb vacuum line pictured here in red:
