"Cafe" style front fender for sale *SOLD*
« on: October 02, 2019, 08:00:05 AM »
Hello everyone,

Would anybody want this front fender I made for the GS?

I looked at some Google images and it seems to fit the "cafe" style so many people are after.

I'd love to see it go to a good home and get used.

Included would be the stock fender extender, if the buyer wanted it.

I'm in the US so shipping would be limited to the States only.

Reply here or PM me if interested. Thank you for looking!

How exactly did you make this fender? Fiberglass mold of a similar fender, then modify the mold for the 500 fork brace, & lay glass down on them for your custom changes?

If less complicated than that, I'd like to replicate something similar myself for use on several bikes with non stock Suzuki fork upgrades that use a fork brace bolted to cast-on mounts to mount the fender to - GS500 forks on a GS400/425, RF900R forks on a Rickman CR1000, '89 GSXR1100K forks on a '77 GS750, & Bandit 1200 forks on a GS1000C...

I'd like to think it was simpler than that (although some may disagree lol!)

I started with two stock GS fenders which I cut in half because I only wanted to use the rear halves. Then I trimmed and shaped the halves with a Dremel. After that, I put them together with fiberglass, then used filler (duraglas) and lots of sanding etc to get the edges, surfaces and lines nice and neat.
