GS rear shock leverage ratio.
« on: June 30, 2020, 08:38:12 AM »
Does anyone know what the ratio of wheel travel to shock travel is -
I thought sometime in the stone age I calculated 4:1 something like 4" wheel travel = 1" shock travel. Anyone know for sure ? Or is that just the linkage ride height ratio.

I'm trying to build a girder front end with a Katana style shock - no not for a GS - I'm crazy, not stupid. Its for a Savage 650.

Wouldn't a Katana shock hanging in front of the steering neck look cool as Duck ???
If I adjust the arm to a 3:1 leverage - would that beat your arms and shoulders is my question.

I run a business based on other people's junk.
