I will do my best to try to keep it for August 19th... so as of now, I guess we'll keep it Aug. 19th, but if the plaque's not done in time, I can't do much about it. I will try my best to make this date work though!!

Ok, well I did my thing, and they said the plaque will be done in time for me to pick it up on Thursday, Aug. 17th... SOOO.. the ride is set for Saturday, August 19th for sure.

It's about a 4 hour ride I think for me... not sure about everyone else, but please let us know...  my quess is that early afternoon would be a good time to meet ... maybe 1:00 pm or so? Input and comments are much welcomed.

Hey Wayne, tell me what you plan to do & let me know what route you're taking...are you going to PA to meet up with LadyJules?  How far of a ride is that & then how far is the ride from PA to the actual site?

Sounds like a good date to me, I just need to know what time to meet at that mall and I will do my best to be there.  I'll be leaving from here near Williamsport, and head directly up there.  If anybody wants to join in just let me know and we'll get a meeting place together. (Anti?)

OK so far I should be good to go and get there. AJ is driving out from Indiana that weekend, and the day of the ride is my birthday so forgo-ing any family obstructions we will be there. While I'd like to meet you guys at the mall, riding another hour is just not going to be a good idea, its another hour west for me, in addition to the 3+ I'd already be riding.  That gives me 4+the hour back+3 back home = 8 hours total which just isn't going to happen, I'll be dead tired. I may end up driving a cage, we'll have to see and AJ and I might switch off quite a bit because we only have my gs.

Ladyjules I'm not sure where we should all meet ... maybe in Norwich somewhere and then ride to the site? Norwich is about 11 or so miles from Sherburne (where the site is). We can talk to Rob and see what he thinks. Also, please let me know if there is anything else I can do.

I will also be having my parents, two sisters, and a few friends coming as well. They all knew Rich and are also just as appreciative as I am about this memorial plaque ride.

One other thing....

Anyone riding from far away are very much welcome to camp out in my back yard. We also have a family friend that lives close by that are welcoming anyone who would like to camp out there too (they are bikers as well and will be meeting at the site too). I live in Bainbridge (in town) with my family, so it is about a half hour from Norwich.

I have no idea what everyone is planning on doing but I just wanted to let anyone know they are welcome. There are also local campgrounds.

Maybe either you (Kim) or Tazz (Rob) could post a map of the area of the Mall, area you live (for those that may want to camp overnight), and the area of the site so we can figure out where would be the best place for everyone to meet... some of us could meet at the Mall Rob was talking about at Noon. Since he said the Mall's an hour away from the site, we all can meet up at the site at 1pm. (How does that sound?)
Anyone meeting up any other places before riding to the site, other than the mall... can adjust your meeting times accordingly... planning to be at the site by 1:00 pm.

Maybe we should ALL meet at the Walmart in Norwich at 1:00 pm and ride to the site together??? It might be easier for everyone to find that way and it would be neat to all ride to the site together in one group.

It is about 20 mins (14 miles) from the Norwich walmart to the site. I personally think it is a wonderful idea that we all meet at Walmart. Let me know what everyone else thinks.
