Not worth $1k for an unfinished home brew project bike. Saw it and passed on it. Fully put together running bikes pop up for $1k to $1.5k.
"F" models $2k to $2.5k.  Some over $3k - they're out of their mind but they are getting their price  :cookoo:

Here's one in my area. I think this seller might be one of us. I recall someone there asking for some wheels - could have been someone else on the island

1991 Suzuki GS500 - $900 (Whidbey Island)

I've got a clean running 1991 GS500. Currently has clubman bars, I can switch the original bars back if you prefer and if I still have them. This bike is ready to go! Take her (Gesebel) home today.

I have made a few upgrades:
-Clubman bars
-Progressive Springs (front tubes. Handling and suspension improved beyond compare from stock springs)
-Fork Seals replaced ~end of August
-15w fork oil~ end of August
-2007 GS500 tank. (Slightly different tank, but it bolts right on. As a result, the paint doesn't match. The tank has original Suzuki paint in great condition.)
-Emgo bar end mirrors
-New Clutch! Installed at the end of last riding season (~August)
-rear brake pads installed ~end of August.
-new chain ~end of August
-new fuel lines~ end of August
-inline fuel filter- with new tank it is no longer needed, but I liked having it so I put a new, clean one on it.

This is a great, very forgiving, starter bike that you wont outgrow in a month. Good for the new rider or the experienced rider that wants a fun 500. Not the prettiest, but for a 20+ year old bike, it's not too bad.

Front and rear disk breaks.

Test rides for those with endorsements or learner's permits, and cash in hand. Has current tabs. I'll deliver within a reasonable distance if the weather is nice and gas is compensated for my lift home... Or you can RIDE IT HOME!

I also have an extra petcock.

I've built this bike to be pseudo cafe racer, but I now have a cafe racer candidate in my garage and need funding for that build.

I don't allow strangers from craigslist over to my house. Too much there that I don't want stolen, and there're a lotta weirdoes out there! ;-)

Clean title in hand.

Make me an offer! Highest offer in a week gets it.

Mint Condition 1994 suzuki gs500e, free tank bag - $1400 (Tacoma-Ft Lewis-Lakewood)

I have for sale a 1994 suzuki gs500e. Brand new tires, carbs cleaned, new plugs, new timing belt, very fun to ride, 7693 miles, great pickup, perfect bike if your just starting out and you dont want something rediculously heavy to handle. I also am including a suzuki tank bag with the deal holds all your paperwork and I use it everytime I ride to hold all my misc. gear. Clean title, never been dropped, and I removed original stickers that were on the bike that were pretty unsightly, and removed front glass shield so it looks like a fast street bike. It's purple in color with white rims. Nice bike, im only selling because I want a sailboat. Willing to make trades to, let me know what you got.

Either LIAM is a code or someone names Liam sells lots of bikes in this area.

never been dropped - yea - right. I wonder what bent the brake lever? The wind?

Hahahahahahaha
Crazy thing is, my husband wanted to look at it a month ago, now the ad is up again with pics, before it wasn't. So my husband contacted him a week ago, and no response.

I was using this thread as more along the line of Good deals hahah

Some of those posted are stupidly overpriced.. A raced 95 w/14k, that someone stopped half way through a valve job for $1400? no thanks!

I'd take something like this:
http://salem.craigslist.org/mcy/2947582888.html

$100 for the lot, pull some need parts from it, and flip the rest

Man at these sweet deals!  That would be worth it just for the plastics and tires.  Then make a nice profit off the rest.

Wow steezin, thats an impressive deal!

TBH, I was just bored and it seemed like a semi productive thing. But I do agree the majority are overpriced.
