Jacobs Prolonged Project

Hey fellas,

Figured I would start my build thread. It's a bit late so I have a bunch of stuff to update right off the bat! I bought the bike a while back and I pretty much knew I was going to be changing a lot of things. Without further ado; here is what I need/needed to do:

- Mirrors (done)
- New instrument cluster parts (done)
- New rear fairings with center piece (done)
- Repaint everything (done)
- Install stock dog bones (didn't change anything)
- Install shorter dog bones (done)
- New taillight (done)
- New Blinkers (done)
- Fix speedometer problem (fixed)
- Fix all electrical (fixed)
- Drag bar handle bars (Installed OEM 89 Clip-ons)
- New exhaust (Installed Full Jardine SS system)
- Install R6 shock (Installed 2004 Katana 600 shock)
- Sonic fork springs (.90 kg/mm installed)
- K&N air filter (Went with OEM instead)
- Belly Pan (Decided not to get one)
- Replace scooter headlight with stock (done)
- Adidas GS500 chain guard (done)
- GSXR rider/passenger pegs (done)
- New fork rubber cap (done)
- Hand controls from 01+ (Wouldnt work because of wiring)
Thats about it. I will probably be adding more stuff as I go when the thoughts come to mind.

Phenix has an LED smoked one from Loghts4All.
No one raved when I put it on him.

Noooo don't do it Adidas. Save one rear blue full tail plastic for me please I have spring break begining March 15th so I'll be over there for a week and I know I can make it over then. And right now I'm in the process of sanding the passenger grab bar. Just going to paint that and the front fender primer black until I'm ready for real paint.

Bars are stock as far as I know, or really close to stock. I'm going to be swapping them out for some drag bars soon though. And for the taillight, there all I had to do was drill two holes in the middle of the two holes already there for the taillight on the piece that attaches to the frame. Like this:

Haha I could care less, I really like the YZF taillights. The more the merrier!! One thing I have over them is the black out part in the middle though. I think it looks nice.

When you put that pic of Phenix up in my thread, I noticed, and searched for it to no avail. Then one day I stumbled across mention of it on (I think) Pablo's page. This is the one I bought, and I can't wait to put it on.

Started sanding my passenger grab bar and found out something interesting. Apparently my bike was pink, white, yellow, ugly maroon, and now the blue I am going to paint it haha.

Its like a color wheel..
I am sure the base colors are a primer and a base for the Yellow.

Yea, grey primer was used for each paint job I believe.

And the integrated taillight would work, but its more on the spendy side and its illegal. I dont really care about things being illegal, I will use them anyways, but I do care about money spent haha.
