Servus dp,

nice work

Only the rear end is a little too long

Is the Aprilia fork not too soft for the GS? Or have you used other springs? I had a fork in my possession, but you've never installed because you was too soft.

I use the original progressive RS125 springs, I only changed the "spring pre load" (i think that is the right name  :icon_question: )
Right now the weight of the bike is only 164kg (including patrol and oil)  :D

o yeah before i forget...

Does anyone know the diverence between the 1990 and the 2007 ignition?
The crankshaft of the 2007 engine has only 1 pin to fix the rotor and the 1990 has 2 pins.

Can i just put the complete 1990 ignition (incl rotor) on the 2007 crankshaft or is there also a diverence in the CDI?

Oh man!  I can't believe you want to drop the red paint scheme!  The red is Definitely the best paint scheme ever on the GS.  Bike looks great.

Edit: ha didn't see that you had already painted them.

Thnx for the compliment!

I agree the red theme i had sure is one of the best there is in the gs500.
For the colour theme my bike has now i took the coulors of a 2007 GSXR and designed the theme the way i like it the most :-).

It's a bit quiet here  :embarrassed: i know and i am sorry.
The reason is that i am waiting for a view parts (gaskets) before I can clean the engine with a water jet.
Last sunday I took the bike for a final trip to the British Superbike before the engine change, now it's in the barn and i hope to get the old engine out next weekend.

Does anyone know wat paint can i use best to paint a aircooled engine?
