Hello guys,

I'm an old time lurker of this site (especially this section) since I've always liked the GS500 but never had one. The thing goes like this (short): i'm building a scrambler out of a Suzuki Volty 250x and I'm thinking of using the GS500 forks because they have the caliper mounted on the right side.

I want to swap the laced wheels with alloy wheels of a CBR 125 and It will be easier to adapt the caliper on the right side (I don't want to turn the wheel).

I have several questions for the members who are willing to help me with some measurements:

1. Can someone please measure the distance between the fork legs (center - to - center)
2. The bottom triple tree is made out of aluminum or steel?

Regards,
Alex.

P.S. I also have a build thread of it but it is on a different forum (will post a link only if the mods allow me to do so).
