I doubt that the bearing would be hurt at 200*. It would take more than that to burn the greese.
Yeah that was my thinking too, it still feels and looks just the same as before too.

as long as there is no grinding or drag you should be fine.

Well I've been anxiously awaiting parts to arrive. I finally have some. The speedo was a pretty good find off eBay. I haven't seen a fully functional set of gauges since the day I crashed
My old petcock was in pretty good shape, but the filter had a rip in it.
These bar end mirrors are actually pretty decent for being $20. although there's a weird image in one of them  :flipoff:
The Delkevic muffler is impressive upon opening, very nice welds.
Tires look pretty cool, going to have them mounted and balanced Mon probably. I went with the Pirelli sport demons.
This was kinda funny, I was starting to clean the engine the other day and took a few pics, as I was looking at them, I realized, damn, that looks like a face! So here ya go for your amusement,  :thumb:

Haha, I guess so, I was watching it for a bit until I had money, I was sure someone was going to snag it before me.

More stuff came in the mail today. K&N air filter
New brake pads
Jet kit, don't know to much about the company, but seem to get good reviews

I used that jet kit on my Hyosung GT250. It was pretty damn good, eliminated all the bog from a new filter and exhaust and added a few measurable ponies.

From 27hp dyno to 29.8HP. Not bad for an air cooled 250cc

Yeah it seems like a good kit, nice directions too.

More stuff has been arriving, and I got my tires on today.

Got these turn signals that I'm digging, not bad quality either

And this cat eye brakelight that's not bad either

These hand grips I'm not 100% sold on, they look OK but I'm not sure how well they are going to work

All balls bearings, of course they are awesome

The infamous R6 shock

I've used other tank sealers, but this is my first time with por-15, I've heard many good things about this kit, and I'm excited to try it out

And last but certainly not least, Chucks right side cover

Really enjoying the thread, awesome work so far, cant wait to see it all come together!

I've got the same bar end mirrors, they work great, when they're pointing at the road behind you. You might find however that when you accelerate the air pushes them inwards like mine :( need to find a way to increase the friction on the ball...
'08 GS500F: Fairings removed, MT-03 headlight, Integrated tail light, Brisk BR12ZC plugs, chuck81's Billet Fork Brace.

The fink

Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words. Hopefully in the coming weeks I'll be able to start putting some things together. Keep watching  :thumb:

Nice work on the parts!!  :woohoo:

... But this is niggling me a bit  ;)

When our post your picture links... Which by the look of it are the URL links from PBucket

... Like most folks!  :thumb:

When your pasted link gets to the start [IM G] (I spaced it wrong so it would show up) ...

You add in.... (highlighted in red and the number can be any value but typically 640, 720 or 800) ... [IM G width=800]

This will force the forum to fit your pic more into most people's screens and not have MEGA scroll pictures!!
