Hello, I am a new member in the Austin, TX area. I just picked up a 2001 GS500 and am enjoying riding it around town. This forum is great and along with the wiki it should be easy to maintain this bike. I have a few things I need to do to my bike to keep it running strong. I look forward to meeting other GS500 owners in the area.

Hard to tell cuz its black, but that looks like the PB Belly Pan sold by Wild Hair Accessories.

Makes sense because Suzuki didn't sell the belly pan and bikini fairings for the '01 and '02 naked GS500s afaik. Only the earlier GS500E models and only the earlier years.

I like your bike. Looks very clean and well maintained.

It does seem to be in pretty good shape. Any idea what rear sets those are? Unfortunately the belly pan is cracked and a bit melted from the exhaust. I looked at the Wild Hair accessories belly pan and mine is a bit different. It was attached to the frame with U bolt brackets. I added some pictures of it. I do like the look of it and I'd like to replace it eventually. Are the belly pans from other years compatible with the 2001-2002? I've been cross referencing part numbers and the 01-02 years are different from other years on some things.

The carb plumbing is all wrong, gas tank fuel valve leaking, air filters need replacing, missing center stand. I am excited to get to work on this bike. I will take some better pictures after I clean it up.

Can't tell what the rear sets are. They seem to be OEM from some other bike. Maybe the same bike as the passenger pegs because that is all modified as well. Stock passenger peg bracket is just square tube welded steel.
