GS500F speed/acceleration?

whats the fastest anyone has had this bike up to in first gear and 2nd gear and whats the fastest anyone has had one up to period?

I think that 11k rpm in 1st is about 40ish mph.  

I don't know what the top speed is but mine has absolutely no trouble hauling my big 270 pound ass up to 105mph.  That's where I personally decided the top end was.  There might have been another 10 or 15 mph, judging by throttle position.

zkeep in mind that the speedo's on these bikes supposedly read around 10% high, so 105 speedo would really be around 95-96 mph actual speed.  Still 60 mph faster than I am comfortable going right now  :dunno:

I should have clarified that - the 105mph max was indicated by my GPS to be the maximum speed recorded.  I didn't look at it while on the bike, only when I got home to review the event.  The speedometer was somewhere around 120, but I only glanced at it and it was only for a few seconds.
