Hey guys, as I posted earlier in the week, I crashed my bike last weekend. :(

Here's some pics of my gs pre/post crash... as you can see, I need a new tank and fairings badly. I still have the seat, even though it's off in the post crash pictures. It's going to be so ugly until I get a new tank and new fairings...

Anyone have any parts they want to sell? Or know where I can get them??

Here's the list of parts I need:

- New tank
- Rear fairings, both sides
- Mirrors for both sides
- Speedometer & tachometer
- Bar

I've already ordered a new starter relay (which I also needed) from the local Suzuki dealership, and I've bought a new headlight and turn signals, as well as a new clutch lever. I can probably pick up a new bar locally for cheap from one of the wreckers, I'm just really looking for the tank, the fairings, tach, speedo and mirrors.

Thanks... I really appreciate your help! :/

Did you tweak the subframe too, or is that an optical illusion in the photo? Good luck getting it back together.

Yeah the subframe got squished slightly on the crash (left) side... my mechanic has already stripped off the broken stuff from the front of the bike and straightened out the subframe for me. Now we're just waiting on parts.  :(

Meighan,

I also went down this spring; suffered a case of prepatellar bursitis from landing hard on my kneecap.  The swelling worsened after a month, and it took a few weeks of prescription antibiotics to reduce the swelling.  It's still a little tender.  I know hearing that you might not be out of the woods physically isn't what you might want to hear, but keep an eye out for that knee.  Best of luck with the bike, too!

PS. Cute kitty... what's its name?

Yeah... well that's exactly what happened, I was fine for a couple days after I crashed, then all of a sudden I woke up one morning and couldn't walk, trying to put any weight on my left leg made me scream in pain! I went to the doctor, he said it was infected. I was confused because I was washing it out and putting polysporin on it... he said that the road is the worst possible thing to scrape yourself on, because of all the crap cars roll through all day. He said that the force of the impact had driven dirt deep into my leg and knee, and that's why it got infected. I had to go on 2 different antibiotics to get rid of that, and they made me so nausiated :( :( :( I'm taking it easy now that I'm feeling better, but it still sucks!

Meighan,
Glad you're okay and the bike is repairable. Gotta watch out for that new pavement...

Check the for sale section for people parting out bikes. Yours is a newer model so anything 01 and up will work on yours for these parts.
- New tank
- Rear fairings, both sides

These parts are interchangeable between all the years, 89-04 (less mirrors, which are only to 03)
- Mirrors for both sides
- Speedometer & tachometer
- Bar

Also, just an aside, full gear includes pants.

Good luck on your bike and on getting back on the road quickly.
