yeah the red hot chili peppers are definitely my favorite band..im listening to them right now and i think they are bad ass.  
if you were to make a useless post about your favorite band who would it be...im pretty sure this topic has been brought up but im too lazy to search and i wanna see how many people respond to my post anyway.

i could never understand how people pick a favourite band.  i can't even pick a favourite genre :dunno:

moe. is definitely my favorite.  Leftover Salmon, String Cheese Incident, Yonder Mtn String Band, Donna the Buffalo, Deep Banana Blackout, many others too.  I bet no one has a clue who I'm talking about.

hrm, that's a tough question, it really depends on my mood.  i'm big into ska, so the scofflaws, skatalites, and gangster fun are all really good.  but i'm also pretty into industrial/techno stuff like aphex twin, kmfdm, ohgr, and others.  but then again there's always bands like manu chao, electric six, and cibo matto out there as well.  so many bands, so hard to choose one. hip-hop, jazz, and blue grass arn't half bad either though.

Well first there are the immortals, people in a whole different universe. People it's not fair to put in the same catagory with other musicians. Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson, hmm yeah I'll put John Lennon in there too. Now for the people who I think rock but can't mention with those guys. Second tier guys, Modest Mouse, Wilco who I've recently rediscovered, can't leave out Ween, Iggy and the Stooges, The Pogues, The Clash, Butthole Surfers, Bad Brains. God the list could go on forever. All time favorite? Can't limit it to one, but if I had to probably Band of Gypsy era Hendrix.
