Damn, I can't wipe this silly grin off my face :)  :) I picked up this bike last night, rode it home....WOW....I think I'm in love.
It's a 97, 14K miles, already has a V&H full system plus rejetted carbs...and I think the springs have been upgraded too, but the owner couldn't remember what the previous person had done...
at any rate, riding the short distance to work this morning, that sweet V&H ringing in my ears...
yeah.  :thumb:

Good stuff!  I had the same feeling when I rode to work the first time.  Did you open it up yet?  If your not used to it, hold on if you try it.  Scared the crap out of me the first time.  It's a great little bike - lots of fun and very forgiving.

yeah, I still have a healthy respect for this bike, as I log more riding hours, different speeds, different roads....I'm kinda glad that I feel this way, that way I'll take it slow, and not jump into something that's gonna get me into trouble. I think it's really important to have control over my bike, and feel comfortable with split second manuevers and braking...I don't want to be in that first five months you go down statistic, so I'm gonna do my best to avoid it...
