my new gs500 2004 makes a small rattling noise when im at a stop the dealer said it is common on twins  can anyone verify   it doesnt sound like diesel engine but it does remind me of one

it may be the exhaust note, can you elaborate on the noise in more detail? :dunno:

could you be a little more specific? Where is it coming from? It could be something as simple as a lose bolt....

:cheers: thanks for the help i think its the sound that everyone has been discussing on previous post   the rattling or knocking when you idle at a stop  :dunno:

I've noticed the same sound.  When idling it sounds as if it is coming from the engine, maybe valve lash or the like I'm not sure.  But I was told by the dealer that is pretty standard.

some of the other guys write that it goes away or you get use to it I took it to the dealer and they said the first 600 miles it burns alot of oil and to keep ading till the first tune up and it was low  :nono:
