I'm fixing my bike cause cages are haters and I had a few questions.

My first question involves handlebars. I'm getting my new ones today and I have to put them on. I got the controls off except the clutch because i can't get the left grip off. Do I have to cut this off or something?

Also, how do my new grips go on? Do I have to glue them or something? How does the throttle grip go on? Do I need a new throttle?

My turn signals aren't working. They were working the day after the crash, but when i turned the right one on the bulb still worked, but it had been ground open by the road along with the rest of the turn signal and it just smoked. So I put a new turn signal on later and it STILL didn't work, none of them.

So I went and got a set of LED turn signals, put them on and... they glowed faintly. So then I'm backout out and i turned the right one on and... IT FLASHED! So I tried the other one and... it didn't work, and then the right one wouldn't work either.

Now, the switch may have been damaged during the crash because the left control set put a nice, big dent on the left side of my tank.

So are there any fuses or anything I should look at or are the controls busted or... it's just kind of frustrating  :)

Well thanks everyone I hope to get my GS driving great by tonight  :thumb:

The left grip is glued on. Take screw driver and slide it between the bar and grip. This will break the glue to remove the grip. I always use contact cement when installing new grips. The throttle is usually not glued on. It should just peel off.

There is only 1 fuse in the electrical system. Check all of the wiring to make sure there are not any worn or broken areas.
Common sense in not very common.

take the screwdriver an jam it between the grip and bar
then spray some carb cleaner into the area
then twist the screwdriver and it will easily walk it's way around the bar
then pull the grip off
