Back Wheel rotated off axis during emergancy stop

Hello everyone.
Last week I needed to make an emergancy stop due to a Ford Expedition almost turning into me.  I jammed on my front and rear brakes like they teach you at MSF.  Well I felt like my rear wheel skidded out on me.  Iit turns out that the rear wheel didn't skid, it actually rotated about the axis.

I got the 600 mile service a few weeks before hand so I didn't check the chase bolt.  The bolt appeared not to be tightened to specs.  My friend and I straightened it out and torqued it to spec.  After riding it today (bad weather here prevented me from riding before hand), it looks like the front handelbars/forks are not aligned properly (slightly off to the right).

What do u think I should do?  Can I fix the alighnent of the front wheel or should I take it to the shop?

Thanks

Slightyly off is not a problem.  Mine has been off for a while but I'm too lazy to adjust it.  Maybe in the winter.  Now is the time to ride.  Days are getting shorter.

"600 mile service" - so it's a brand new bike?  I would say call up the dealer and tell them they didn't tighten your wheels down properly.  Make them fix it.  If they don't do it for you for free, then they are jerks.  In that case I would do it yourself, because it's not that hard.

The dealer said they would "fix" it, but this was not warrenty work; hence they will charge.

I say forget that, I'll do it myself.  I guess this weekend I'll need to figure out how to correct the front wheel alignment.  Any suggestions on that?

Well, it looks like the front wheel alignment isn't messed up.  It turns out that the farring is misaligned.

I wonder how the entire fairing could be moved w/out hitting anything.

Any suggestions on how to move it back in place?

I'll upload some pics I took tomorrow to give u a better idea of whats going on.
