So, if yyou read my last post, you realized my daddy and I tried replacing the gasket at the front of my tank with a peice of rubber-

Well apparently we broke something.  Now, my baby sits, pissing gas (ok, really dripping, but pissing sounds so much better!), no matter what the petcock is set to.  Must have moved something loose or otherwise ruined sime deteriorating rubber.

Annoying.  Dad said it should be an easy fix and that we'll do it as soon as I get back to NH (sunday) BUT I MISS MY BIKE NOW!!!

Back in college after seeing some of my dad's famous hacks to get my car/truck/vehicle running, my friends bestowed upon him the nickname "Macgyver on crack'

just venting!  grrrr. :x

Where is the gas pissing from exactly? It is possible the rubber gasket between the valve and tank has been damaged.
Common sense in not very common.

Ready for the really technical desription?  Out the bottom of where the tank is, all over that black grooved box, and onto the ground.   :P   Helpfu;l?

hmmm...not making this easy

I am still guessing it is the fuel valve gasket. #10 in the schematic below:
