PS. It might be a good idea to put the gas can in a plastic shopping bag, just in case the cap is "not quite tight enough".  

Won't gasoline eat right through those flimsy shopping bags?  I thought I read a recipe for napalm involving 'dissolved shopping bags' in the Anarchist's Cookbook back in the day.
