I have the West Coast kit.  Callmelenny passed it on to me the friday after selling his GS500 (and the day before pulling out for NC).  I will be done with it after this weekend and then will mail it off to Pandy.  Please PM with mailing information...

YES - by all means pass it on.  As long as it's not for profit I'm all
for it.  (And thanks a lot for asking ... I appreciate it.)

I really meant to make an extended visit to GStwin.com over the Christmas
vacation, but it never happened.  I guess I just have to realize that
I'll never be able to catch up / keep up, and at least drop in for short
"bursts" once in a while.

Meanwhile, I have a new (well, a resurrected) interest that is keeping me
busy.  I'm trying to do a little woodturning -- as a hobby, not for
profit or anything.  I have a Delta Midi lathe, sufficient tools, videos
galore, even online forums.  But I seem to spend more time getting me and
my shop _ready_ for turning than actually TURNING.  I did actually turn a
small box out of a scrap piece of 2x2 pine the other night.  It had nail
holes through it and everything, but the guys at work were duly
impressed.  Imagine if I could only commit to making something "real"!
Well, I have plans galore....

Speaking of plans, it would sure be nice to buckle down and polish off
the DVD version of that valve adjustment video.  Then I could remove
about half a dozen electronic Post-It notes from my screen.  <grin>  But
now that work has slowed down and I have a little more time ... I'm off
in a totally different direction.

Such is life, I guess.  But don't be too surprised when I show up out of
nowhere one of these days.

Im trying to set up a site so everyone to DL it at thier lesure.

ill probly put out a few hardcopies aswell for cost of shipping and blank CD. [Basicly send me a blank CD and prepaid shipping envelope for a copy]. but it will have to be a few at a time, so i dont get overloaded.  first option is the Downloading.  I will let you all know in a day or so.

You know i started dreaming about the interactive DVD GS500 manual, where instead of pictures and words are videos. This would be the ultimate manual. Kerry's video is the first step to it i think

Have you considered trying different types of compression?  I would try but at 7k/sec it would take over a day to download

yeah, I started downloading it at 1230 this morning and 9 hours later its only 34% done  . But hey, it will save me 150+bucks for the job at the stealer.

I'm going to post the video on my site for people to download. My download speeds are usually around 130k/s. I've transferred the video to several people on the board before, but this will prob be the easiest way for people to get it. I'm uploading it right now, I'll post again when the upload is done...

damn, i was right proud of the page and getting the links working right an all.  i thought it was just my FTP program that was slow.  this video was put into .wmv format by kerry.  i was looking to reencoding it for a DVD but folks shipping my burner seem to be using Dogsleds.


Sorry Folks,  was trying to do something will good intent. If i can figure out how to setup home Lan server to FTP the speed would be good as i have comcast cable.

I Killed the link as it wasnt very efficiant and put a heck of a strain on my frinds personal server. we are looking into setting up a Bittorrent....Thing.  Otherwise, ask those who have it to copy it. i will pass it on aswell
