Hi All,
I'm new rider and the 500F is my first bike. I did 200 miles on it and when down shifting it's making loud noise like metal hits metal. I asked the dealer about it and they told me that it's normal, but i'mnot sure and don't trust dealers.
thats the reasone i'm asking here, personal experiance is the best.

Thanks in advance

hi dani,

make sure your bike has enough oil.. check the dipstick on the right side.. also make sure that you are depressing the clutch all the way.

The gearbox is a big rough when in breakin, i remmeber mine being extremly notchy but no metal to metal sounds.

I dont know where in LA do you live, but i am coming home in a few days, i can have a look at it.

Also, check the clutch cable freeplay.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
