what parts fit what?

Is there a list of what parts fit a gs 500?  Like will early katana brakes fit a gs  or will the rims fit?  I know kaw uses the same parts on differnt bikes like the exaust on my 2001 zrx1200 was the same as a 90-2002 zx11.  That saved me a ton of money   I am looking for some used parts for my girlfriends bike anything will help  thanks.

no list but there are lots of parts that are compatible. You just have to search here or post up a question when you need something.

katana wheels are same as gs for certain years, front ends swap easily too...lots of other things as well. just ask.

Katana wheels are the same yes ... but a katana wheel will need GS rotors on it and the GS'es caliper has to be used ... if you want one where you aren't making a adapter or somehitng ... GS calipers atleast the front seem to be same as kawi ex500 ones ... but never seen it on another suzuki.

Well we all eyeball and say OK usually ... but most of the long timers know either from having someone repeat it 100000000 times over or from actual doing ... So the list is ther, its just in someone's head ...
