Hey everyone quick question.  I replaced my stock clip ons with HELIBARS on my SV1000S and I would like to try and fit them on my 1999 GS500E.  Has anyone done this or know if it can be done??

thanks

umm...since the stock clips on the SV1k are 43mm (i think), and the gs are something like 37mm (please correct me if I'm wrong)...I'd say they won't fit without some serious modification...
PETE: It's four in the funking morning!

SHAUN: It's Saturday!

PETE: No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

ED: Funk, yeah!

not to mention that i am pretty sure that the clip ons for the sv fit on the fork tubes that extend above the tripple clamp, the gs does not. i suppose you could fit them under the tripple but then you might give away the height advantage your lookin for.

the gs forks are 37mm[/quote]
going fast isnt the problem, its the crashing and burning that hurts

I was just thinking about it on my way back from work and I figured I would ask the board to see if anyone has done it but now that I think about it you guys are right its not gonna work.
