I've known about it since I bought the bike as well, even before I picked up the owner's manual for it.  I use it every time I'm going to pick up a passenger, but I carry my helmet with me when I park it somewhere.  Haven't ever had a problem with it messing up my paint/bouncing around either.

its quite funny how many people look past the little things like helmet locks and fork locks lol, does anyone not know what the knob on the speedo does?

that knob is to wind up the speedo right?
yup just like an old watch, you gotta crack it a few turns each ride  :thumb:

I haven't been doing that! I just noticed that my speedo is like 10% off, is it because I forgot to wind it? Can I fix it if I wind that knob for a couple hours to make up for all the days I forgot to?

If you think you don't need a helmet, you probably don't

Not to disparage, but seriously, y'all didn't know this? I think you might all want to check the loose nut between the handlebars and the seat!

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

We don't crash our bikes often enough to get comfortable looking at weird twisted things on the frame and wondering if they were like that a day ago.

I read my book, otherwise I may not have found it. I was used to looking on the outside of the bike!

Great to know it sounds ok with the helmet on the side being ok while riding. I am still nervous about doing that.

I keep a spare on there.. I just hang it on the left, so as to avoid the exhaust..
