Hi folks,

This is the first year I've had to reregister my bike in the US (New York, in particular) -- can anyone fill me in on a few things?

1) Do I need to start my insurance back up before I reregister?  I cancelled it over the winter.

2) Since all bikes seem to need to be registered at the same time (April 30th) here, do traffic cops tend to pick on us in early May?

Thanks,

Cay

The answers are:

1) yes

2) yes.

I'm not too sure how it is upstate but downstate cops seem to always looking to see that everything is in order hoping that it's not so that they can write you a summons of some form.  Best to play it safe. :thumb:
