Hi all - good day here.
I kept my bike running all through the winter by riding in the coldest of days.  Now it's a first real riding day and the bike won't start.

The starter turns over but the bike doesn't start.  I suspect it could be a dead battery because we had some cold weather here and I last rode the bike a month ago.  My question is this then, can I safely jump start GS500 from a car?  Or will the excess current of a car overpower gs circuitry.

THanks, and hope your enjoying the weather today!

You should be ok if the car is not running.  I've had to do this myself more than once.

if nothing, you can always push-start it.  I've done that many times.  It's real easy if you can roll it down hill.  Flat ground is still pretty easy.  Good luck to you .

I started my GS500E last weekend with a 12v camper storage battery and jumper cables.  Just be careful to not short the jumper end to the frame on the positive (+) terminal.  There is very little clearance.

Thanks for advice!  I got it to start from a non-running car.  I am going to get a battery charger for the next time though
