IS this cause for alarm?

Ever since i rebuilt my baby, ive been real paranoid to all the noises coming from this air cooled cotton gin.

But there is one noise that baffles me. It is definitely something to do with the clutch. Its almost like a hollow soft tapping or knocking sound..and it gets louder if i pull the clutch in slightly, then it stops if i pull the clutch in all the way... like it changes with the clutch tension.. in NEUTRAL. Really weird.

Its not a bad noise, and its not like my crank bearing from hell noises...

But its odd. ANY ideas?

Also, is a lot of valvetrain clatter normal for this engine? Is the GS a noisy camper in general? What is beyond space? and if there is a wall after space, whats BEHIND that wall?

Thanks. :thumb:

P.S this isnt counting the cam noise that i think Kerry talks about.. i have that too lol... at least i hope thats what it is...

The cam shafts knocking with sideways movement, and the cams and buckets tapping all are common, as is some cam chain noise. That is what we call valve train nouse, the rest should not make noise. No moving parts. But its a noisy motor in general.
Cool.

Please do, I'm concerend about how loud the engine seems to be.  Thou My last bike had full fairing on it so I might just not be used to the unmuffled sound.
