I'm going to switch gears on this thread here a little bit, before he gets smashed for only weaing a helmet.  I pretty much have a GS500 bought, there's just a little thing holding me back.  I don't want a wussy bike.  I'm not trying to offend anybody really, so don't kill me for asking that.  It's I just don't know, I look at GSXR's or CBRs and they just look fast.  I don't know how great a starter bike they are, but they look nice.  I talked to a few of my friends in regards to me being a GS500 owner and they kind of chuckled.  I was really heart set on getting on now I'm not to sure.  I mean I don't want to be riding the "weakling" so to speak, and get nagged for it.  Basically what I'm asking is this considered a no crap sportbike, or a moped on steriods?  Again, I'm not attacking this bike, I'm a day or two away from getting one!  I just had to get this last hesiatation out of the way and ask for comments!

Thanks,
Jason

This is humor, right?
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

My appologies if this comes off a bit harsh, it is not intended to, just to open some eyes.

People buy things they don't need, or can afford, to impress people that they don't like, or do like.  Do you measure yourself using their yardstick?

If you want to learn how to ride, buy the GS. If you want to impress your freinds, impress them how good of a rider you are on the GS. Are your freinds really that shallow to require you to spend your money on a bike they only want to see you on?

Again, I do not mean to offend.

If you care so much about what other think of you, I feel sorry for you.
You'll never be happy if you always compare.

I've read it on the "GS is fast" thread, that a pornstar may have a 10", but that doesn't make a 7" or even 5" for that matter not fun.

it's all in your mind buddy.

again, thanks for the warm welcome
