i know this was asked before but i didnt see it when i searched.  but i have the rear wheel off the ground.  clutch in, first gear, and the wheel starts spining..  this shouldnt happen, correct?  might this be indicative of a bad clutch?

just found this

Quote from: seshadri_srinathActually the rear wheel will get power ... just a little with the clutch in ... oil viscosity and some plate friction will be transmitting some power ... not a lot ... bike should not stall when you put it in gear ...

I asked this question a while ago and was told it's perfectly normal for some power to still make it to the rear wheel when the clutch is pulled in.

its perfectly normal, just like some power is tranferred if you push the clutch in on a manual car, the rear wheels will spin slowly if said vehicle i jacked up. The resistance is such that you could stop it with your hand while its spinning and it wont make a difference.
