Truck Update...

Well, I just had a guy offer me a 2001 929RR for trade for my 88 silverado. Now, I wouldnt ride this bike, I might commute on it for a day or two, but only until I could sell it and purchase a smaller CC bike and a beater truck. What do yall think I should do here?

Take the CBR and keep it and buy a beater truck and ride the CBR slowwwwww for a year and don't take it on the twisties and don't try and drag race and just be cool on it.  

That is what I'd do.  It isn't like the '88 Chevy is that great, anyway.  If it is like EVERY other '88 Chevy I've ever seen, the paint probably came off it in huge sheets down to the primer about 5 times before it stuck.  

Just kidding.  Take the trade though. . .

LOL actually the paint is emmaculate (save for the body damage from four wheeling). Truck really isnt that bad, but BECAUSE its an 88 with 180k miles I cannot get that much. That 929rr with a clean title MSRP's for 6.7k id ask 5 for it. looking now into finding out how much it would cost to get a re-constructed title (fairing damage and insurance totalled it out).

the 954 is a FAR better bike. skip the salvage title 929. wait for a better bike to come along at a good deal. Unless you want or need to get rid of your truck. might be easier to sell the cbr and replace it with something,er more appropriate... :mrgreen:

The bike would be easy to trade in for a higher price then you'll ever get for your truck no matter what the mods...you already have a bike so get another and then trade it in for different car/truck and put the rest of the money away for your next bike.

Yea, im gonna trade for hte 929, ITS HELLA CLEAN, but its to much bike for me. So im gonna ride it for as long as it takes me to sell it to buy another bike, and use the difference towards another truck.
