got her on last night. dgyver did an awesome job with this piece. I'm probably going to paint it to match the bike, but I had to get it on there to see what it looks like. I love it. If you haven't already, I suggest you order one. They are easy to install and suprisingly not too uncomfortable.

i can't believe you would even consider painting that.....unless ya incorperate the CF into the design...CF number plates would look sweet

it's just that there are a couple of imperfections. i haven't quite decided yet. maybe you guys will talk me out of it.  :lol:

and before anyone chimes in, yes i'm gonna chop off the fender. i just have to go thru inspection first or maybe i'll just do it this weekend and zip tie the polate back where it goes right before they look at it.

just noticed the wileyco angle doesnt flow with the fairing...wouldve been cool if it did and a cf wileyco...anyways, like isaid b4 it looks sick  :cheers:


question: so the stock tail lights can fit w/o no problem?

it follows just about the same angle as the stock tail. i don't have stock lights, but i don't think they would be a problem. the r1's i used are basically a direct bolt on. it looks like just 2 circles, but there is more behind them. besides, the tail was made for the gs so i don't see why they wouldn't fit.

That looks so good.  The only reason I haven't placed my order yet is I want to make sure I can get my f*cking oil presure up on my rebuilt engine before I drop any more coin in it.  Maybe next week.

If I get one, I'm going to figure out how to make a little seat pan and cover it.  Sort of the Mouse Pad type thing.

Dgyver said that they sell really thin seat pads at Lockhart Phillips (I think) you could use for a seat.  I've heard they are comfortable, but 4 -5 hour ride, maybe want something there.

Y'all dont like the wileyco's going up that high ... BTW following the tail section line on the under side is going to leave the pipe low ... far too low ...
The can going high looked better I thought ...
I can make it a bit lower, but parallel to the fairing ... no ... far too low, and the 01-05 tail follows an entirely different pattern ...  :x

i'll be taking more pics probably tomorrow when my hugger comes in. i'll make sure to include some with me on it this time although that might ruin the pic completely. btw srinath i like how the can looks. i love the look of a bike when the can comes up nice and high that way you can hear her purr better.  :thumb:
