I just wanted to chime to tell everyone immense thank you's.. and shoudows too.

It's been 6 months of reading this board..posting a little and searching/working on the right bike.. as of tonight I have a 1991 GS that I am EXTREMELY happy with.. runs great and is all the bike any man would ever need to be happy.

Agree with you on this one.  Bought a VFR800 for my first bike - big mistake and bought because of impulse.   Decided to by a GS500 to get a little more practice with - should have done this earlier.  Still have the VFR of course.  I ride it once in awhile but mostly ride the GS.  It's a good bike and it makes the sport enjoyable!
