I really want a Bandit 1200. Like REALLY. they look awesome, and are alot like the gs, air cooled, standard style ergos, just bigger.

alot bigger. and soooo sexy.

And i can practically hear them begging to be streetfightered in my sleep.

I just wish they still came in the regular flavor instead of only the 1200s, naked is good.

And fuel injection would be nice.

love the gs (rode mine today), love the bandit (never ridden one, but hopefuly soon).

Any body ridden a Bandit? comments? reviews?
The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.

There is a '97 Bandit 1200 for sale here locally.  It is going for like $3,500.  It has 16,000 miles and a Yosh slip on.  It is pretty cool.  I've not ridden one either, but it looks like it is a heck of a bike.  Just a monster.

Many of the ancients believe that Jake D was made of solid stone.

Lots of gofast parts fot the bandit 1200.  Pop at the drag races.  Will never handle like a GSXR, but will accelerate like one with a few mods

i've been a long time fan of the bandit, when i first went to a dealership when i had just turned 16 i decided i really liked the gs500, and now i've had my 500 for about a year, i love it and have big plans for it.

but when i get out of college and actually make a few dollars i would really like a bandit, for exactly the reasons john said

lots of parts. and how can you not love a 1200cc air cooled monster like that?

plus it is the closest thing in production now to the 1984 gs1150.
and that is a bike i Really like also.

Bandit 1200, with less than $1000 you can pick up almost 25hp!!!!!!! :o
There are alot of guys on my sportbike board that swear by there bandits!
They seem to be nearly as bullet proof as the Gs.

Very good bike in my opinion.

i've been doing alot of thinking about my next bike, my only gripe with the bandit is that it is still carb, not fuel injection. not a big deal, but a feature i would enjoy
i'm just afraid that suzuki will drop the bandit instead of update it. but maybe that fear is unfounded.

plus i can get a late 90's for under 4000. nice and cheap.

I was wanting a 600 Bandit for my first bike but Suzuki dropped it.

The paint combo on the new 1200 is not that good looking.

Funniest name I was ever called on here "cap'n fast n' furious"

A guy once told me "having nitrous on your car is alot like dating a hot girl with a STD, your afraid to hit it because of what might happen."

hell, you can buy a NEW bandit for under $6k these days...they arent selling well. Never have but those that have them love them and there are LOTS of go fast, look good parts for them. Yes, streetfighting them is popular (moreso from those with the s model after a crash).

All the guys I ride with regularly have the bandit 1200 and another bike...They LOVE the 1200. slip on gets you 10+hp alone. maximum-suzuki.com is a great bandit site.

Great bike, heavy though but can be hustled through the twisties and the track like anything else...
