Man, I can't IMAGINE hitting a buzzard, God, such a big NASTY bird.

I almost got puked on by one.  Argh...  I cringe when I think about it.  The bastard took off from the side of the road as I approached and this yellow putrid looking liquid was streaming out of his mouth as he flew TOWARDS me.  Luckily, he turned at the last second going back across the street.  Argh!

I've come about a foot from nailing birds, maybe 50ft from a deer, inches from dogs.  I got hit square in the faceshield by a "Junebug".  It's a GIANT green beetle about 1 inch in diameter.  It hit like a bullet and left a smear that almost blinded me.

I've repressed the close calls from cars.

Oh, speaking of close calls on the water.  This is a HIT.  A friend of mine and I were whipping down a canal in S. FL.  in a bass boat.  We were doing at least 50-60mph.   Anyway, a mullet jumps out of the water and nails Ernie right in the chest.  I thought it was going to kill him.  The fish didn't make it.

I almost hit a dog once, I was going down the road and this dog shoots out of this wooded area by a house and I have to brake hard and swerve.  I have never been hit by a bird but i was stung on the neck by a wasp once, rolled up my arm and got stuck in the bottom of my helmet. I stopped right after to make sure it didnt start swelling abnormally so I woulndt pass out and fall off the bike.  That would be bad

I have a bee story too...  I was riding in S CA in the orange groves.  I was doing like 80 and this bee somehow hits me just right and goes shooting up into my fullface helmet.  I couldn't believe it!  There I am doing 80 and I've got a pissed off bee flying around hitting me in the nose, the cheek, just bouncing around.  I slowed as fast as I could (without disturbing the bee) and when I stopped I THREW off the helmet and ran away waving my arms around like a lunatic.

The next day I threw away the face shield and bought some goggles!

A friend of mine had a goose cross his path while he was out for a spin on his V-Max.  Luckily, he was on surface streets and wasn't going very fast; it still partially knocked the wind out of him, and the bird was knocked cold and landed in the road.  He hated to leave it there, so he stopped the bike and started to drag it out of the road (a full-grown goose is pretty sizeable).  It wakes up as he's hauling it, and he has a goose fight on his hands that he finally manages to extricate himself from - I have to admit, I would have loved to have been there with my camera.  :)

I took a bird in the chest last year at about 60 mph.

Last weekend I rode home to see my parents, and I'm pretty sure a bird crapped on my face shield while I was going 65.  Not totally sure if it was bird poo or a bird poo colored bug, anyway it really sucked cause it was directly in front of my right eye.

I've hit birds with my car, and I've had close calls on my bike with birds.  I did catch a junebug in the neck at about 70.  I thought I was gonna die.  I couldn't breath for about 30 sec.  It SUCKED.

I also hit a dog once.  I was some kind of pitbull mix and weighed about 80lbs.(I know this cause I dragged its carcass out of the road).  Needless to say I didn't stay on the bike.  The scariest part was when had just gotten myself and my bike off the street.  This Camaro comes flying out of nowhere and hits the dog (which was lying in the lane I was occupying 10 sec. ago). The bastard must've been going 80 (it was a 45 zone).

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??

I was hit on the cheek by a sparrow going about 60 mph. It knocked the HELL out of me. Didn't lose control but killed the birdie and put a huge welt on my cheek. I was also hit in the eye by an insect years ago while riding my old RD350 (I was wearing glasses and it whipped up from the bottom of the frames). My eye burned for days and I finally went to the doctor. He extracted the thorax and abdomen from my left eye. Literally plucked it out. I still can't stand a full helmet or goggles though. Not in this South Louisiana heat. It is unbearable. High humidity. Leather in the Summer here would be.......
EXTREMELY uncomfortable and almost unusable. I know I know.......
I'm stupid........but it gets blistering HOT here my brethren!
Taxes are Good. Millions that have been on Welfare for the last 30 years are depending on you. Also Millions that are coming over the border each year are depending on YOU.
Also taxes will fix our shitty schools and roads that have been broken for 40+ years.

You really don't get it do you???

I completely ran over my cat once. I was leaving my house and she just runs across the street from the neghboor's house and I braked and let go of the brakes just as I run over her with my front tire (16" rim on my 315lbs SRX), she kinda felt like a speedbump, and then she got up and made it the rest of the way across the street before my rear tire got to where she way laying. I stopped and looked for her...nowhere to be found. Next day when she showed up, she was fine!

Clipped a small bird while riding with my brother behind me, he said that it looked like I hit a down pillow and the pillow exploded, except it was a smaller puff of feathers...
