motor skips above 60mph...

Anyone have any suggestions on why my motor seems to stumble/skip on anything above 55-60?  Only when I give 3/4+ throttle does it stop, but I do not seem to get that much power.

Stock everything.   Plugged vacuum line right from carb, had a leak.... motor would be slow to rev down.  full tank of gas.  now i just run on pri.

I am going to change the oil and directly connect the tank to the carbs to see if the petcock is cruddy.


Its an 89...
